Vital Wins £1m+ Rail Contract - 01/08/2009
Vital Rail are delighted to be able to announce the award of another £1m+ contract from Network Rail.
As of September 2009 Vital will become the sole provider of support staff for the LNW North Aspro operations, protecting the asset during works carried out by outside parties through the provision of Railway Safety Managers and associated protection staff.
The contract will be managed from Vital's Manchester depot under the control of Operations Manager Steve Carter and will cover work sites from Stafford to Carlisle.
Nick Baxter, Vital's Regional Director spoke of the company's pleasure at the contract award; 'We are extremely pleased with the award of this major North West contract and that Network Rail have demonstrated their confidence in Vital to deliver such support services. We have been providing similar services to Network Rail for a number of years in the Western region and we believe that our experience and success there has equipped us well to expand into the LNW route'.
