Vital Rail Wins Edinburgh Tram Welding Contract - 01/05/2009
Vital Rail has been awarded a £1.5m contract by BAM Rail to install the track for the new Edinburgh Tram system. The first weld was cast in Princes Street on June 11th 2009 and over the next 2 years Vital will be installing approximatley 14km of track and completing some 4500 alumino-thermite welds.
This is a very high profile job for Vital Rail and adds to its growing reputation for quality and competence and in particular its expertise in the light rail sector.
